Description: Hello my name is Gem and I’m probably about 1-2yrs old. I have beautiful orange eyes. They look just like gems and that’s how I got my name. One of the children in the home said that I also have a triangle like shape on my chest and so that could be a rare gem also.
I am one who would prefer a quieter home than what I’m in right now. We have dogs, cats, ferrets, and birds and four teenagers so people and animals are coming and going all the time. This is a lot of activity and I tend to sleep in a box on the highest point of a bookshelf. They will ask where I am and then find me in my box. Well, it IS quiet in that box and nobody usually will bother me way up there.
When I first come into the home I need about 2 wks to get settled in. During this time I will usually voice my disapproval of the other animals in the home. After about 2wks I settle in and become more comfortable. I absolutely ADORE my foster dad. Maybe I’m a man’s cat. I do occasionally give a love bite here or there. My foster family doesn’t really pick me up a lot so I can’t tell you if I like to be carried around.
I also have the most beautiful grey, white, and black fur. I just have really neat markings which are worth taking a look at, so why don’t you make an appointment to come and visit. We would love to meet you!
