The Unweaned Kitten Rescue Network Inc trains interested people in how to hand raise kittens under four weeks old that are dumped or orphaned. The kittens are kept in the foster carers' home until they are rehomed at eight weeks, and each kitten is vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and comes with a discount desexing voucher and cat care notes. Potential new parents are screened very carefully, and are contacted regularly after the kitten is rehomed to ensure they are happy. Since September 2003 the Network has rescued over 216 kittens.
