The Etobicoke Humane Society is an all-volunteer, charitable organization, affiliate of the Ontario SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty To Animals), and member of the CFHS (Canadian Federation of Humane Societies). EHS has been serving the Etobicoke community 14 years. EHS operates a variety of animal programs within the Etobicoke area, including: Fostering and Adoption, Cruelty Investigations, Humane Education, Wildlife Rescue and Referral. EHS is a "no-kill" shelter. No animal is ever euthanised unless a veterinarian deems euthansia to be the only humane alternative due to extreme injury or illness.
