The FRSO was formed in 2000 with the following goals:
To take care of unwanted, abandoned and abused ferrets;
To rehabilitate ferrets and give them the medical attention they require;
To find suitable homes for all ferrets who are healthy enough to be adopted into new families;
To provide a safe and healthy environment for the ferrets whose lives are no longer meant to be in a family environment.
We average between 20 and 30 ferrets in our care and take in / adopt out around 40 ferrets each year. We are a not-for-profit organization that is funded from our fundraising events, on-line store, garage sales, donations and adoption fees.
