The Animal Care Society has been born from the concern of animal lovers in Cork about the lack of any Animal Welfare organisation in the area. Up to 8,000 unwanted dogs and cats are born every year in this County, consequently two thirds of these animals end up on the streets, starving and in misery, or they are put down. Our main activity is finding homes for cats and dogs, which have been abandoned, neglected or abused. We endeavour to rehome every unwanted animal referred to us. Not an easy task, but we help were we can.
