After a lot of hard work PAWS became the first officially licensed animal rescue organisation in Kuwait. Our mission is to provide veterinary services to the companion animals we rescue; to offer foster/adoptive homes; to vaccinate and spay/neuter all our rescues and to address the multiple problems with animal welfare in Kuwait. Protecting Animal Welfare Society, Kuwait (Kuwait Code) 9440089 is a non profit, all volunteer charity. Until our shelter opened in July 2005, there was nowhere to take abandoned, injured or stray animals in this country. To date PAWS have rehomed almost 300 companion animals to homes in Kuwait and all over the world. We have rehomed approximately 25 cats and dogs from Iraq, mainly brought into Kuwait by Military personnel. Visit our site online.
