Gülüser Balcı is an retired nurse. She lives in Istanbul / Turkey. Over 20 years, she is fighting to obtain a secured place for street cats with her limited pension.
130 cats and 40 dogs are living in her shelter. She feed them and clean them with an enormous love and attention. She is 65 years old. The cats and dogs in her shelter say "Hello Life" in every morning. They are protected from violence, hungerness and illness in the streets. Unfortunately, she has received very limited fund from volunteers. These support are also not regular. Last winter, cats and dogs closed to death because of financial problems. Nowadays, the local government wants to demolish this shelter for making recreation place in this area. Mrs. Gülüser Balcı is in difficulty. If you support her with your donation or volunteer works in shelter, you will make a valuable contribution to life.
