We are currently involved in Pet Partner Certification with Delta Society and preparing for a "PAWS to Read" program co-sponsored by our city's public library. This will utilize therapy dogs to create a positive environment for at-risk and remedial readers in our lower elementary grades. We also are involved in AniMeals. This is a program which partners with another nonprofits program of delivering meals to low income and disabled individuals. PAWS will package dry food for the pets of these individual and it will be delivered at the same time. We have an education program going into schools, and a program for Girl Scouts in which they can complete a workbook and other project and receive a PAWS "Bone". We have 6-7 additional programs in the development stages including an aggressive adoption and fostercare program, a spay/neuter program etc.
