APA s primary focus is on companion animals. Most of our work is with dogs however, we help cats whenever possible. APA rescues dogs from the local shelter that would otherwise be euthanised. APA will also take in dogs from owners who can no longer provide adequate care for the pet. APA provides all dogs with veterinary care prior to adoption. Medical care includes but is not limited to a Rabies Vaccination, a series of vaccinations including Parvo (puppies only), a combination vaccine which protects adult pets from various diseases (adults), a heartworm test (adults), microchip, and spay or neuter. Pets are not adopted to the community without first being spayed or neutered. APA also helps special needs pets. APA guarantees the health of the pet upon adoption. After all medical care has been completed; the search for a loving home begins.
