Friends for Felines, Inc., is a non-profit organization consisting solely of volunteers dedicated to locating new and loving homes for abandoned and owner relinquished cats and kittens. Ensuring the health and well being of our cats and kittens is a primary part of our mission. Upon arrival all cats and kittens are taken to a veterinarian to be examined and tested for feline leukemia and FIV. Felines found negative of these diseases are then vaccinated and neutered or spayed if old enough. Each cat and kittens comfort, joy and safety is also a principle objective of our organization. All felines are placed in a volunteer's foster care until a permanent loving home can be found. In foster care, our cats and kittens are allowed to socialize with their foster care family and their pets. This provides us with a better idea of the cat or kittens unique personality. All felines, including those with physical disabilities or behavior problems, are kept until a permanent home is found.
