The Pope County Humane Society was formed in 1985 and incorporated in 1987. We are a 501(C)3 non-profit organization staffed by volunteers. Our mission is to prevent cruelty, neglect and abuse to animals. We have three foster homes offering lost or abandoned animals a safe haven and medical attention until they can be claimed or adopted. Glenwood is located on the beautiful shores of Lake Minnewaska in west central Minnesota. We are about 100 miles west of Minneapolis just off Hwy 55.
