The Liberty Humane Society gives homeless cats and dogs a chance to be adopted into loving homes. The LHS has taken over management of the shelter and is currently raising funds to build a state-of-the-art facility.
Liberty Animal Shelter is open 7 days a week and offers a variety of services for cats, dogs and other animals including adoptions, low-cost spay and neuter for pets and feral cats and free pet food and supplies for low income, Jersey City residents. The shelter accepts all strays from Jersey City and owner surrenders when space is available and offers an information and referral service for owners who wish to surrender their pet. Volunteers and donations are always appreciated.
