The Grand Strand Humane Society is dedicated to finding loving, responsible homes for every animal in our shelter. Our adoption program includes a staff trained to assist people considering adopting a pet. Our preventive health program for animals in our shelter includes: A general health examination by trained staff; One set of vaccinations; Treatment for internal/external parasites; Heartworm testing for dogs; A clean and caring environment to maximize the comfort of each animal; Spaying/Neutering of all adopted pets. Animals requiring additional medical care for specific health problems such as heartworms, mange, or injuries receive veterinary care.
