The Great Dane Rescue of El Paso is an all volunteer, endorsed, not-for-profit breed specific rescue organization. Our mission is to provide medical care, love, training, and permanent placement for abandoned, abused, neglected, and owner surrendered Great Danes. Our funding comes solely from private donations, fundraisers, and adoption fees. All contributions go toward the cost of caring for the Danes including medical expenses, food costs, supplies, and transporting animals. All contributions are greatly needed and appreciated!
We seek to bring these forgotten or unwanted companions back to good health if needed, evaluate their temperament, and screen potential homes to ensure a good fit between Dane and family. All rescued Danes remain in a home with \"foster parents\" until an appropriate forever home can be found. All adopted Danes are spayed/neutered, up-to-date with vaccinations, and treated for any obvious illnesses or injuries. Because we do not have a physical shelter facility, all of our adoptable animals reside in temporary foster homes.
