Animal Angels is primarily a sanctuary located in Jack County, Texas, on 38 acres. Since our move in July of 2000, we have enlarged and now have 15 compounds of varing sizes that have different numbers of animals according to the size of the area. All enclosures are made of heavy duty 6 ft. chain link fencing. We specialize in rescue of strays but work closly with other rescue groups. All animals are spayed or neutered and treated for whatever illness or injuries they may have before they are brought to the sanctuary. We adopt through Petfinder and our website and to date, we have adopted over 200 dogs this year alone. We give lifetime care if an animal is not adoptable but there are only a few that are considered to be unadoptable. Some are feral, others are simply old but still adoptable. We've found that often just finding the right person for the right dog is all it takes.
