Awarded "Best Cat Rescue Shelter in Britain" by Pet Plan/Cats Magazine. Animals At Risk Shelter was formed in 1978. The Shelter has been at it's present location since 1987 and became a registered charity in 1995. Animals At Risk Shelter rescues unwanted and abandoned animals and cares for them until homes can be found for them with responsible new owners. Animals At Risk Shelter is a NO-KILL animals Shelter so no animal is destroyed unless our Veterinary Surgeon feels that it has no quality of life. Animals that do not find new homes join the Shelter "Family" of around 40, who are free to roam about in the garden or be indoors as they wish.
