Hot News!
Russell Kearney is walking from P.E. to Durban trying to raise R100 000 for our Port Elizabeth Animal Care Hospital (P.E.A.C.H.) that we are running jointly with Animal Anti-Cruelty League.

Track his progress here everyday.

Russell has now reached East London (300 Km) after stop-overs at SUndays River, Empenkwini/Fish River Sun, Hamburg and Kidds Beach. He has had numerous offers of a lift from motorists along the way but has stuck to his promise to WALK to Durban. Russell  spent a few days at The Esplanade Hotel in East London to allow his blisters to heal. Nevertheless he called on local businesses for sponsorship.

Russell is not taking the road route via Mtata, rather taking the coastal route which has entailed crossing rivers and valleys. This has meant him getting lonely along the way, apart from the many wild animals he has stumbled across. So why not give him a friendly call on his cellphone nr. 073 056 0457. I know he will appreciate it. Just be patient in case he is out of range of a signal tower when you call.

Russell has been stopping overnight a lot of nights at Backpacker Guest Houses and last night was at a Backpackers at Port St. Johns even though they havent officially opened yet. March on Russell, march on!

We are developing our hall into an education centre and we already have schools visiting us on a regular basis. We also have an informal clinic helping the poorer citizens in our area to inoculate and assist in the sterilsation of their pets.
Our main aim is to have our own hospital “up and running” with a qualified veterinarian on hand to assist in the health of the animals and thereby improving the health of the poor themselves.
