Stray or Found animal?  Call Tri-City Animal Control at 545-3740.  By law, BFHS cannot accept stray or found pets.  We can effect the rescue of a truly abandoned animal.  Please call us for advice in such circumstances.  See Animal Control page.

  • BFHS Announces New Shelter Plans!!  At a media event (see pictures and story) on Wednesday, November 19, Operations Manager Ed Dawson announced plans to fund and build a new shelter and adoption center for the Humane Society.  Check out the plans and join the funding campaign on these pages.

  • Please welcome Tracy O'Dell as our new Assistant Operations Manager.  Tracy comes to us from Desert Veterinary Clinic where she was a Veterinary Technician.
  • BFHS has added the All American Premier Breeds Administration to its Links page.   AAPBA, seen recently on many local bumper stickers, advocates for the fair treatment of dogs in breeding and competitive programs.
