Special Spotlight Hound

Lily is a female basset who was left behind when her family moved. She's around 8 years old and has completed treatment for heartworms. She is a blanket red & white hound who is crate-trained and housetrained. She gets along with all people, other dogs, and cats. Lily loves to have "her" spot on the couch. She loves to eat, but has been on a diet and lost 20 lbs so far weiging a nice 45 lbs now. She loves her food and is right there when you make yours just in case something may fall her way. She is extrememly laid back and loving. Lily loves to go for rides in the car, especially if she is going for ice cream! She is very motherly to smaller animals in the house. She would love a family were she can be loved and snuggled and go for ice cream on hot days!

How Can You Help?

The Animals' Savior
Copyright Jim Willis 1999

I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter...the cast-offs of human society.
I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal.
And I was angry.
"God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"
God was silent for a moment and then He spoke softly.
"I have done something," He replied.
"I created You."
