Animal Welfare Society Volunteer and Professional Photographer, Kelly Roy, offers photos of your pet with (or without) Santa on Sunday, December 7 at the shelter, Holland Rd, West Kennebunk.

Fifteen minute slots are available from
9:00am – 1:00pm
with a suggested donation of $25.00 to the Animal Welfare Society. A complimentary 5 x 7 photo is included. Space is limited. Call 985-3244 x 121 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

"Acorn"

This is Acorn! He is an adult neutered male Rex rabbit who has a beautiful chestnut coat. Acorn would love to find a loving home for the holidays. He is a very soft and friendly guy who would love some company. Visit with Acorn and you may find that he is just the bunny you've been looking for.

Featured Adoption Success Story

"Parker" 

Hello,

We adopted a rabbit, Crikey, from the AWS on December 1, 2007. He has proven a wonderful addition to our family and a closely bonded companion to his bunny friend Joy (also a rescue).

Parker (his new name) eats well (2 salads a day!), snuggles with Joy, runs with her in the morning, and has proven to be the most "sprawling-out" bunny we have ever had. We call this position "happy feet", as that's how we know he's content & relaxed. He also rolls on his side a lot, which really shows his complete feeling of safety & happiness.

We again thank the AWS for taking him in & caring for him until we could find him & offer a forever home as well as a bunny companion.

We hope the Strut Your Mutt event is successful & wish everyone at AWS the best for the upcoming holiday season.
