Animal Protective Association’s HARMONY HOUSE FOR CATS is a cageless no-kill shelter dedicated to rescuing and placing injured and abandoned cats.

Each cat and kitten receives the expert veterinary care and one-on-one attention needed to be adopted into a loving home—but until then, they are safe at Harmony House.

Founded in 1970, Harmony House is Chicago's second oldest no-kill animal shelter...

...and also the second humane organization to open a cageless adoption center for cats and kittens in Chicago. We receive no city, county, state, or federal funding, and rely entirely upon contributions from caring animal lovers like you to provide for the cats.

Harmony House is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, and every donation is tax-deductible.

Adoption Hours

Friday: 4 - 8 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday: 12 - 4 p.m.

Telephone Hours

Monday-Thursday: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Friday: 11 a.m.- 8 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
