West Wings Foundation is a sanctuary-only operation. The parrot residence that live with us are not available for adoption. We are only accepting surrendered parrots on a case-by-case basis. The current state of the economy, and the overall substantial decrease in charitable support, that many rescues are facing, has resulted in the limited ability to take in a parrot or parrots needing a new home. Only parrots who are at immediate risk i.e. those facing euthanasia, birds that have been confiscated by govenment agencies or birds where owners have died and have no immediate family member to care for them are being accepted at West Wings at this time. For United States Military Personnel who need to foster their feathered friends, please email us if you are in need of assistance

However, while we are limited on the number of parrots that we can care for, our work still continues. Currently, we are working with other local and national resources to continue to address the rescue/rehabilitation and re-adoption of parrots who are finding themselves without homes. As our primary focus now turns to education, we are in the process of planning educational seminars for people who are interested in becoming qualified caregivers for these magnificent creatures.

If you have a parrot that is in need of being re-homed, please feel free to contact us at:

birdmom@comcast.net

We will make every effort to assist you in the placement of your parrot in a qualified home for its short or long-term care.
