     Puppy Mill Bill Update
House Bill 223, Senate Bill 173

Update:
Dec 2, 2008  We have been in constant contact with Chairman Daniels office in rewriting language in the bill to appease all concerned.  At this time, we are on version 13 of the language and hope our dogged effort will be met with an opportunity to be voted on in the house committee.

A series of 5 images are running on the billboard at State & High St, across the street from the Statehouse.  Our goal is to bring awareness to State Representatives & Senators that we care about the Puppy Mill Bill.  It has been written, revised and now is proposed to be a stand alone agency.  We want them to bring it for a vote before the end of session for 2008.

Tell them you saw the boards and you too want the bill to pass.
Ohio is the 2nd worst state for high volume breeders (aka puppy mills) and the worst state for conditions of puppy mills.

How can you help?
Contact your Representative & Senator and ask them to
pass The Puppy Mill Bill in 2008.

Columbus Dog Connection had a one time donation to run the boards for a few weeks.  The more financial support we receive to run the boards, the longer the boards can be up.
