Best Friends of Pets works to end the pet overpopulation problem of too many pets and not enough homes in the Oklahoma City metro area.
SNAP – Best Friends Spay/Neuter Assistance Program makes spaying and neutering affordable primarily to qualified low income pet owners and also provides limited help to the general public in the entire Oklahoma City metro area.
ID Tags – Best Friends provides free pet ID tags for all pets in the Oklahoma City Metro Area.
Education – Best Friends provides information on responsible pet ownership and on many other pet issues.
Adoption – Best Friends works with small rescue groups and foster caregivers to find caring homes for pets in their care through monthly adoption outreaches and postings at www.bestfriendsokc.petfinder.com.

Best Friends’ Endowment Fund
Contributions to the endowment fund for Best Friends of Pets at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation are an investment in Best Friends’ future. Contributions are added to the fund balance, and Best Friends receives a distribution of earnings each year.
The Oklahoma City Community Foundation offers a simple, flexible way to contribute a variety of assets to the endowment fund including stocks and bonds, IRAs, real estate, oil and gas interests, royalty interests, and life insurance.
