Volunteer Social Event
Are you interested in becoming a PANT VOLUNTEER? We have many volunteer opportunities and invite you to explore and find out more information on how you can help save animals at our Volunteer Social Event. Volunteer Applications can be filled out at the event on Monday, December 15th at Marist College Dyson Building Room 113 at 6:30pm. Help Peabody!
Peabody is an 8 month old Bichon who was taken in by Dr. Cannan at the Dutchess County Animal Hospital. Poor Peabody had no where else to go. Unfortunately, he has a liver shunt, which is causing him severe health issues and will eventually end his life if he does not have surgery soon. This surgery is very delicate and he has to go to a specialist in order to get it done. The total for testing, diagnostics, and the surgery is in the range of $5000. The DCAH staff has been working to raise the funds and currently has about $1500, but they need more to help Peabody.
HISS | Humane and Innovative Solutions for Strays
H.I.S.S. has made great contributions toward the stray and feral cats of Dutchess County. In our first three years alone H.I.S.S. volunteers trapped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and released nearly 700 cats. H.I.S.S. takes in about 300 adoptable cats and kittens each year and places them into loving homes through the P.A.N.T.
