Paws for Pizza on December 17th!

You can help animals just by having a great meal at Johnny Brusco's New York Style Pizza! Come in any time on Wednesday from 11am to 9pm and 15% of your tab will be donated to HSFM! Thanks again to Nate Love and his team for supporting the animals. We hope to see you there and that we pack the place! If you can't dine in, call in to pick up your order!

Fido Fest 2008 A Great Success!

We had over 100 attendees for FidoFest 2008 this year, and we are confident they all had a great time! We want to thank our sponsors and supporters for their help, as well as all our volunteers who worked tirelessly to put on this great event! Below are a few of the photos, to see them all click here! The Holidays are Fast Approaching

The holidays are quickly approaching, and that means special things for our four-legged friends. Here are a few reminders: - Chocolate is toxic to dogs, so keep that Halloween candy out of Fido's reach.
- Keep your pets inside. We recommend this all the time, but it is more important than ever when colder weather arrives. Also, Halloween can lead to pranks that turn dangerous for pets, so keep them safely indoors.
- Thinking about those holiday decorations? Make sure you pet-proof them. Cats are especially fond of eating tinsel, which is very dangerous, and both dogs and cats may find strings of Christmas lights enticing to chew on, resulting in shock or even electrocution. Also, several holiday plants are poisonous, so check www.aspca.org for a listing of toxic plants.

We Need Fosters!

If you are interested in fostering many of the animals that are in our area shelters and need temporary homes, please let us know! Email foster@fmhs.org for more information. Shelters are overflowing, fosters are going on vacation, and we need your help! Please consider becoming a foster parent. We can only save as many animals as we have fosters for. It's easy, it's fun, and it makes a difference! Find out more...
