The Cat and Dog Protection Association of Ireland rescues and re-homes abandoned, injured and sick cats, kittens and dogs in Dublin and the surrounding areas. While we care for all animals, we are primarily concerned with the welfare of the cat, in particular the feral (wild) cat. Unfortunately while we
encounter many people who care for all animals, we also see, on a daily basis,
animals who are victims of ignorance and cruelty. We do not have a sanctuary for
rescued animals. The Society is run by a voluntary committee is we depend on the
generosity of the public while acknowledging the assistance of the Department
