Abby
Abby, a purebred
Boxer, needed our help & we came through for
her, now we need your help. Dumped in the
shelter in a horrible part of San Diego, we
rushed to save Abby & her newborn babies
(Boxer Babies listed below) from
euthanasia. Abby loved her babies but was
only able to take care of them for a very short
time. Abby has a very bad leg & x-rays
show what a horrible life this lovely lady must
have had. Her femur head is shattered &
her knee has been crushed, and both injuries
have healed horrendously. She also has a
gun pellet lodged in her abdomen. Abby
will have to have her leg amputated if she is to
have a life free of misery & pain. In spite of
her pain, she is one of the most loving &
forgiving dogs we have ever met.
Her surgery is scheduled for November 19th & we really need your
help.
Estimated cost of surgery is $1800
Raised to date: $1105 November 19th
Abby had her surgery & is doing well. She
is in the hospital, getting the
best care possible. If all goes well, she
may get to come home tomorrow evening, where
she will feel a bit more relaxed & comfortable November 21st
Abby is home & resting.
She is moving around OK, but is content to stay
in her crate on her comfy bed.
We are hoping in a few weeks, this will all be a
distant memory for her.

Born on August 5th to a
drop-dead-gorgeous-sweet-as-sugar
Chow mix mommy, these are winning pups! All seem to have
inherited the laidback, easygoing temperament of the
mommy dog (who we call bomb-proof). These pups have
been in a foster home with 3 kids since they were newborns,
so they are extremely well-socialized & friendly.

is a dollbaby! She is a tiny little thing, with unusual
gray-silver hair & the most expressive little ears & face.

Oreo has been a great
mom to her babies, but all have been adopted,
so now it's Oreo's turn to find a home to call her own. She is
a beautiful Border Collie mix with a friendly nature & sweet
personality. She would love to have a home where someone is
home most of the time so she can hang around with her special person
(or people).
Marley
Marley is
a total lovebug! With ears that look
like pigtails!
He's very much a people person and gets along with
everyone, and he gets along great with 2 dogs in his
foster home. He walks great on a leash. He loves to
play and has lots of energy. He can go anywhere with
you-Starbucks, the mall, etc. He's perfectly content to
just be in your arms while you walk around.
Marley is around 10 months old & about 9 pounds.

July 2nd to
a lovely Terri-Poo mommy & an unknown Daddy, but he was
obviously a "low-rider" as these babies have the cutest short legs!

unbelievably handsome 6 month old boy is looking for
a home to call his own. He's a beautiful Shepherd mix, with
a sweet disposition & happy nature. He gets along good with other
dogs, although he likes to hog the food bowl. Typical teenager!

had to come back when his family lost their home. He has been

well taken care of & loved, and was living in a home with a small

Coco is a tiny little thing who has been a

to call her own. Only a year old, Coco is a very friendly Chihuahua
who you can take anywhere with you! She is small, sweet, and
totally portable.

Dallas was adopted last year, but had to come
back to us because
of a change in his owner's housing situation. He is a sweetheart of
a
dog, very loving & affectionate........and he adores belly rubs!
Dallas gets along good with other dogs & likes kids, so he would
make
a nice family pet. He is around 3 years old & only 42 pounds,
which is a perfect size!

Bebe was a great mom to her babies, but all

now it's time for Bebe to have a home to call her own. She is a
sweet
little gal, around 5 years old & 12 pounds..........a total
companion pet. She loves to be near you to cuddle or sit on your
lap. She gets along
good with other dogs.

Licorice is a 2 year old, 60 pound tossed salad
doggie who needs
a home to call her own. She is very sweet once she gets to know
you, but she doesn't like a lot of commotion, so a home without
small
kids would be best for her. She loves other dogs & gets along good
with the kitty cats, and she adores going for walks. She would
make a great exercise partner! Licorice is a smart gal & knows
all of her basic commands.

Lilly is a 1 year old Maltese mixed with
something else that is long legged, although we aren't sure what!
She has a very happy personality, and gets along good with other
dogs & doesn't pay any attention to kitty cats. She loves to go for
car rides & is crate trained. Lily is a playful little girl who
loves people!

Murphy is a
1 year old, 15 pound shy little boy who would love a
quiet home. He is quite the ladies man, preferring women over men,
so a single or retired lady would be the ultimate companion for this
cute little boy. He would do very well in a home with another
dogs & he doesn't mind kitty cats.

Mindy was a
great mom to her babies, but now they are all gone
and this cute gal needs a home to call her own. Mindy is about
16 months old & weighs around 13 pounds (she looks big in the
photos, but she's not). Mindy gets along good with other dogs,
although she would do just fine being the only canine in the casa.
She is very well-mannered & loves to snuggle under the covers with
you at night.

Rosie has
had a rough time, but now her misery is over &
she is looking for a home to call her own. Rosie came to
us pregnant & gave birth prematurely to 2 tiny babies on May 3rd,
but
both were born with severe cleft palates & neither survived.
She is a real sweetheart,
loveable, energetic, and playful. She gets along good with other
dogs, but is the alpha & doesn't like bossy dogs.
Rosie is about 2 years old & 15 pounds.

year old adorable Spaniel mix who needs a home to call his own. He
has beautiful soft black hair with cute white accents, and he has
the sweet personality to match his good looks. He gets along good

Lola is a sweet little Chihuahua mix who found

pregnant & abandoned in the scary shelter. We got her out &
she gave birth to 5 babies on April 12th in a warm, comfy foster
home. All of her babies are doing well & Lola is taking good
care of them.

These babies
ended up in the shelter with an extremely emaciated
mommy who was no longer able to take care of them. The babies
were basically taking everything they needed from her & leaving
her with nothing. Mommy was a lovely, petite German Shepherd
mix & we have no clue about daddy. They
are precious little
puppies & unless they have some amazing growth spurt, they
aren't going to be very big dogs at all.........probably in the
60+ pound range. We are guessing they were born
around July 7th.

Well, it looks like Daddy was a Terrier of some sort & his
DNA must have been pretty strong, because none of these
babies look like Chihuahua's.

Cookie is a tiny little girl who came to us
after her human
family lost their home. Daddy to her babies was an even
smaller tan Chihuahua who went to another rescue group.
Cookie is happy in her foster home, hanging out with
3 other very little dogs, and she is very much a people pooch!

of their rough beginning. They are in a wonderful foster home
where they are getting the best care & ultimate socialization.

Trudy found herself abandoned in the shelter,
pregnant. One
of the shelter staff liked her so much, she hid her in her office
until we could find space for her! Trudy is a very sweet girl,

This lovely Spaniel mix mommy & her 3 beautiful daughters are lucky
to be alive, thanks to a 2-time Cuddly Canines adopter! Mommy was
spotted running around a restaurant right off a busy freeway in the
rain, and it was soon discovered she had 3 babies in a cardboard box
behind the restaurant near the dumpster. They were quickly scooped
up & rushed to our vet, where they were warmed up & mama was fed a
good meal. All are doing well & are now in a foster home getting
the best care. Mommy is a 15 pound Spaniel mix & her babies
are fat fluffy little girls who we are guessing were born around
October 15th.

This sweet lady ended up in the shelter with a belly full of
puppies, who made their grand appearance on November 10th.
Nine were born, but only seven made it out of the shelter.
Everyone
is in a great foster home where they are getting the best possible
care.
Molly is supposedly an Irish Wolfhound mix & her babies are adorable
mysteries!
