Welcome to Grateful Goldens Rescue website. Grateful Goldens Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2004 to address a need to help abandoned, abused, and unwanted Golden Retrievers in the Charleston South Carolina Low Country and Coastal Georgia areas including Savannah GA. We foster our Golden Retrievers in a home environment while bringing them back to optimal physical and mental health. We then adopt these Goldens into loving, forever homes. This site is designed as a tribute to the Golden Retrievers that have become a part of Grateful Goldens and the volunteers who make it possible for Grateful Goldens Rescue to give a second chance to Golden Retrievers in need. Earlier this summer we were contacted by 3 great guys who are working their way across.the country filming groups and individuals who give back to their communities. While in the location they perform a random act of kindness for someone. When they get back home to NJ they will take all the interviews and create a full length documentary on all "the good works" people are doing everyday. Under beautiful and sunny skies over 100 golfers teed off at the Oak Point golf course for a fun day of golf all for the goldens. We even had a Hole in One winner !!! One golfer "smart" enough to support Grateful Goldens won the Smart Car sponsored by Baker Motors. We will post pictures soon and a detailed list of all the businesses and friends who supported this event. Please show your support of Grateful Goldens by supporting these businesses. We could not have had such a successful event without them.
