PLEASE
SPAY & NEUTER
Each day in the United States about:
10,000 human babies are born and
70,000 puppies and kittens are born.
This means about 5 million puppies and kittens
will die this year
because there are not enough homes for them.

Between November 22, 2004 and
September 30, 2006
4156 animals entered the Bainbridge Animal Shelter

Many thanks go to Father Clendinen from St. John's Episcopal Church for blessing all the animals pictured below and then some. A good time was had by all!

HOLIDAY SPECIAL NEEDS:

Huck ID#11316

This Beagle mix has not had a very good holiday season so far. He was found in Decatur County tied to a tree and abandoned by whoever was suppose to be his "owner". The "collar" pictured above was so tight that poor Huck could not even swallow his food. The wire had to be cut off of him after he was tranquilized. Since Huck was not properly taken care of - he is very heartworm positive and will require treatment as soon as possible. Please consider giving Huck a merry Christmas by donating to get his heartworm treatment.

·Spay/Neuter:  In the United States more than seven million pets are euthanized every year due to pet overpopulation.  That's nearly 20,000 pets euthanized each day because there simply are not enough homes for all of them.  The Bainbridge - Decatur County Humane Society strongly encourages you to spay/neuter your pets.

The Humane Society asks that you please have your pets
spayed or neutered.
Do not let them contribute to the pet overpopulation problem.
For more information about spaying or neutering your pet, visit the Animal Aid Foundation.
