The Cats Protection League (Wgtn) Inc. was founded in 1982 by Catherine de la
Roche, and is the only purely voluntary New Zealand charity devoted solely to
the welfare of cats.
Objectives
-
To rescue stray and unwanted cats and kittens, rehabilitate and rehome them
where possible.
-
To inform the public on the care of cats and kittens.
-
To encourage the neutering of all cats not required for breeding.
Finance
We are supported entirely by donations, legacies, our own fund-raising events
and members' subscriptions. There are several hundred financial members. New
members are always welcome; the annual subscription is modest and includes a
copy of our newsletter, published quarterly. Life membership and Junior
membership are also available.
