URGENT!!  FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!!!  THERE ARE ADDITIONAL SAINTS WAITING TO COME INTO RESCUE.  WITHOUT YOUR HELP, THEY MAY RUN OUT OF TIME.

Don't forget to check out Louie on the "Not Quite Saint Bernards" page.  They would really like to have a home of their own.

STORM: is a 2.5 years old, housebroken, spayed and up to date on all shots and heartworm preventative.  Storm is our newest addition to rescue.  She seems to be a nice girl, but we’re told “NO CATS”.  She may have a little too much interest in the small dogs too.  So far she has gotten along well with the other Saints.  She’s a little anxious, but is settling down fine.  She is great with kids, travels well in the car.  Storm weighs 115 pounds. 11/5/2007

BELLA: is a smooth-coat Saint Bernard, who is a little smaller than most.  (She’s approximately 90 pounds.)  Bella has been spayed and brought current on all vaccinations and placed on flea and heartworm preventative.  Our vet estimates Bella to be approximately 8 years old, although she sure doesn’t act it.  She does have the graying on her face.  Bella was turned into a shelter in central Kentucky, so we really don’t know a lot about her previous life.   The shelter told us that her previous “owner” said that she hadn’t had her very long, but that she was 4 years old (our vet disagrees) and housebroken.  She would love to have a couch of her own to spend her days on.   She loves to give kisses and get attention. Please help us find a special home for Bella in her senior years. 4/5/2007

BONNIE: is vet estimated to be approximately 3 years old.  Bonnie and Clyde came in together from a shelter in Kentucky.  We named them Bonnie and Clyde, because these two will steal your heart away. Bonnie weighs 120.  She has been brought up to date on her vaccinations, placed on heartworm preventative and found to have been previously spayed.  Bonnie is housebroken.   Bonnie gets along wonderfully with Clyde, but will sometimes instigate between the others – especially females.   She wants to be the boss.  She would be wonderful with children and make a great family member.   We would love to place Clyde and Bonnie together, because they seem to be very bonded to one another. 4/5/2007

Missy: is an approximately 9- to 10-month-old little lady who would love to have a family to call her own.  Missy has been spayed, brought current on all vaccinations and placed on heartworm/flea preventative. Missy came from a shelter in Kentucky after she was “found” by a lady who couldn’t keep her.  Missy is pretty reliable in the house – when watched.  But typical puppy behaviors, she can forget to let you know at times, especially when she’s too busy playing. Missy loves playing with others, but larger and smaller that she is.  Her family will need to work on obedience training with her – not that she’s a bad girl, but she can be a little stubborn.  She was not too happy with walking with the leash and thought she would just lay down and that would make it go away.   She absolutely loves Goliath, our 12-year-old pictured, with her. 4/4/2007

BRANDY: is a wonderful girl who is approximately 6 years old.  Brandy is spayed, up to date vaccinations and on heartworm preventative.  She is housebroken.  She came into rescue through no fault of her own.  Her family lost their home and she was turned into a shelter in Ohio.  A volunteer there fostered Brandy until she could come into rescue.  The history that we were told about Brandy is that she lived with other dogs and children and was fine.  While she was in her foster home, she showed a little too much interest in their cats, so we would recommend a home without cats.  Brandy and Bruno have become best friends.   She has been with children and is fine - although she could knock over small children.  Brandy loves her treats, so you do have to monitor those. 4/4/2007

NANA: is a wonderful girl who is approximately 2 years old.  She has been spayed, brought up to date on vaccinations and placed on heartworm preventative. Nana loves to play with her friends, but can be intimidating to small dogs.  She will run up on them and if they run, the chase is on.  She thinks it is her job to run off anything she thinks doesn’t belong.  She believes the ducks should stay on the pond, and will promptly put them there when they come up on the bank. We don’t know if she would actually hurt one or not, but thankfully the ducks choose to stay on the water when she is out.  She can be a little bossy with the food bowls, so you have to watch feeding her with others.  She knows she has to share, but will try to get all the bowls, if allowed.  Nana has an extremely thick coat and will be going to the groomers for a much needed spa treatment shortly.  She loves children and would make a great family member.   Her new family would benefit – as would Nana – from a basic obedience class.   This girl is extremely loving. 4/4/2007

BRUTUS: is a smooth coat male that is 5 years old.  He is a large boy (approximately 130 pounds) who was turned into a kill shelter when his family were moving and no longer wanted him.  We were told that he doesn’t like children, but don’t know what that means.  We have not had him around any, but will be cautious with him having been told that. Brutus is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.  We are placing him on heartworm preventative.  He is housebroken and seems to do well with others.  He walks well on a leash, but will pull some.  Brutus would love to have a family of his own where he is once again loved.  He is a very sweet boy.  Please consider giving Brutus that home he deserves. 4/4/2007

Ellie: is a smaller Saint, who is a true joy to be around. Ellie came to us from a shelter in central West Virginia. We estimate her to be approximately 18 months old. Ellie is scheduled to be spayed and will be brought up to date on all shots and heartworm tested prior to placement. A much needed grooming will also be included - the weather hasn't cooperated with Saints that love to run and play in the mud and pond!! Ellie gets along well with others - cats are unknown. In order to be considered for this wonderful girl, please fill out an on-line application. 1/17/2006
