Ingrid's Haven
is a non-profit cat shelter in Victoria, an hour's drive from Melbourne. Come and meet the many cats and kittens available for adoption ... all from death row at the pound, rescued and cared for by Ingrid until new loving homes can be found. All Haven cats and kittens are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. Ingrid does not accept surrenders from individuals, see our policy on the About page. Ingrid's Haven is a no-kill shelter.
I presently have a large number of adult cats as well as kittens looking for forever homes.

REALITY CHECK

Pets are not disposable.

Over 200,000 unwanted pets are killed in pounds and shelters in Australia every year, just because they can't find homes.

These are innocent animals, whose original human companions did not take responsibility
for them.

Be part of the solution. Adopt a rescue pet.

We'd like to thank the Robertson, Devagnanam, Reddi and Shaw families for their generous donation. They couldn't pick just one cat to sponsor, so the donation is to help all!

Darlene (right) and Bruceenlarge Darlene and Bruce
Darlene and Bruce are very much in love. They met here at the Haven one-and-a-half years ago and they just clicked. Darlene, who's three-to-four years old now, arrived with five little ginger kittens, which I found homes for. Bruce arrived back in May 2001 as a wild kitten. Darlene (ginger) is very sweet and Bruce will allow you to pat him but he clearly prefers his Darlene. They always sleep together, head-butt each other, eat together, sunbake together ... and if I see one I know the other one is somewhere near. This couple I will not separate, I don't believe in tearing lovers apart so, if you want Darlene, Bruce will tag along and vice versa.

Wayne Wayne
Wayne, this delightful young cat around two-to-three years of age loves to laze about. I am surprised he is still here but then again he doesn’t sell himself as some of the others. Wayne’s lower eyelid was curled inside causing him ulcers but he has had an operation and the problem is corrected though his 3rd eyelid shows and sometimes the left one shows as well in sympathy. Wayne also needs protection against the sun as he has so much white on his face. But really this laze about who purrs constantly is a treasure.
