We are the Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation. We help homeless and abandoned animals find permanent, loving homes. We also reduce pet overpopulation by spaying or neutering every pet in our care before we put it up for adoption.

If you are looking for a dog or a cat to make your home complete, you have come to the right place. But whether you get your pet from us or not, please make your next pet a rescue pet, and make sure it is spayed or neutered!

New Dog and Cat Adoption Location
LDCRF has added a new location! We are holding dog and cat adoptions every Friday evening and every Sunday at the Reston PETSMART at 11860 Spectrum Center. Some of our adoptable cats can be seen at the in-store adoption center all week long. Volunteers are needed to help with the cats during the week and the adopton events on the weekends.

LDCRF now accepts credit cards at our adoption events.

Want to help spread some holiday cheer to the dogs and cats waiting for new homes.
LDCRF is holding a gift wrapping fundraiser at Barnes and Nobles at Tysons Corner. Friday December 12 from 5:00-10:00 and again Dec. 14, 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM. Our volunteers will be working for tips wrapping gifts. All proceeds will go directly to the animals in our care. Please stop by and help save the lives of homeless dog or cats.

    We Are Growing
As of this year, the Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation has rescued over 10,000 dogs and cats and placed them into new homes. We're proud of what we have accomplished, but our eyes are on the future. Our goal is to build new building on our property for the purpose of isolating new and sick animals and caring for mothers and babies away from the stress of the kennels. We are in the beginning stages of planning the facility and the scope of the project is heavily dependent upon the funds we can raise. Can you help? Please donate to our building fund and keep an eye on our website for more detailed plans and fundraising activities.

You can now visit us on Facebook and MySpace. Help support Lost Dog by joining our groups and supporting our cause on Facebook and My Space. It's a great way to meet other friends of Lost Dog, hear about upcoming events, and share your experiences with the rescue. Invite your friends to join us as well!

    Commemorate a Special Day
    Greeting Cards!

Why don't you send a handwritten note from one of our very own Lost Dog animals? That's right, contact us and we'll send a note to commemorate a special day! It's a great way to show you care!

Government workers, please designate Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation (Our number has changed to #97890) as your charity of choice for the Combined Federal Campaign. Your dollars make the difference in the lives of dogs and cats. A yearly contribution of $400 would allow two dogs to receive life-saving heartworm treatment or pay for spay neuter surgery for four dogs or cats.
