The Shelter

The Alaska Humane Society is a no-kill and non-profit cat shelter currently taking care of about 300 cats. We are staffed entirely by volunteers and are funded entirely by donations. To learn more about us please visit About Us.

Our facility is located at 1224 E. 76th Avenue, at the back of the complex from the old location.

Donations are seriously needed at this time to pay for our new home. Alaska Humane Society is a non-profit run completely by volunteers. Donations are tax deductable.

Alaska Humane Society Adopt-A-Cat is proud to offer the Adopt-A-Cage program. This program gives you a chance to support the new cats coming in to our shelter. You will receive photos and updates on the cats that you are helping to support.
