Welcome to the Humane Society of Morgan County
PetSmart

Got nice stuff you don't need or want anymore?

Did you know that you can donate it to RAG Shop on behalf of the Humane Society of Morgan County?

You get rid of your stuff and get to feel good about it because it helps raise money for the homeless cats and dogs at the HSMC Adoption Center.

It's that simple and it feels that good...

“No one ever made a greater mistake
than he who did nothing because
he thought he could only do a little.”

- Sir Edmund Burke

Don't make the mistake of doing nothing
because you can only do a little...

Ask about the wide variety of ways you
can help the Humane Society of Morgan
County. There are lots opportunities in
addition to so many different things to
do at the Adoption Center. You can
help at events, with planning events,
and through all kinds of ongoing duties
that can be done from your home...

Alone Again

I wish someone would tell me
What it is that I've done wrong,

Why I have to stay chained up and
Left alone so long.

They seemed so glad to have me
When I came here as a pup,

There were so many things we'd do
While I was growing up.

They couldn't wait to train me as a
Companion and friend,

And told me how they'd never fear
Being left alone again.

The children said they'd feed me
And brush me every day,

They'd play with me and walk me
If I could only stay.

But now the family "hasn't time"
They often say I shed,

They do not want me in the house
Not even to be fed.

The children never walk me
They always say "not now!"

I wish that I could please them
Won't someone tell me how?

All I had, you see, was love
I wish they would explain,

Why they said they wanted me,
Then left me on a chain.
