About Us
Webark was founded in 2002 by Morgan & Pam Lacefield, well known community leaders and co-owners of 16 Ohio Valley Domino's Pizza stores. Since 1984, the Lacefield's, along with their 9 adopted children, have assisted nearly every cause in the Ohio Valley. Because of their special fondness for helping animals, their dream of an animal sanctuary became a reality with the opening of Webark, the only "No-Kill" facility in the immediate area.
When you adopt from Webark Estates 'No Kill" Animal Shelter, you send a message that you support the "No Kill Movement", along with getting the warm and fuzzy feeling of saving a life! Adopting a pet from Webark's No Kill Animal Shelter thus opens up a space for another animal, and the folks at Webark then go to a shelter that does euthanize, and save another one! Webark Estates is a 501 C-3 organization, dedicated to rescuing and placing homeless pets and reducing pet overpopulation.
ALL are volunteers at Webark...no salaries are paid...we are just folks who love animals and enjoy saving lives! They receive no county or government funding.
"Joan's Fund", established by patron Joan Kelvington, provides matching funds up to $500 to save dogs in danger of being euthanized.

We always need supplies, such as canned 9 Lives or Friskies cat food, canned Pedigree Chicken dog food, dog chews, treats, cat litter, blankets, throw rugs, or toys. We can always use gift certificates for pet supplies, grocery stores, building supplies, hardware, or office supplies. Spay/Neuter Fund: Webark's feral cat program has prevented thousands of litters of unwanted kittens from being born, and hundreds of cats have been spayed or neutered, and vaccinated, thru the program. A donation of $100 can spay or neuter, and provide vaccines, for an animal in the community in need of help. Mail to: Webark Estates “Spay A Stray” Program, P.O. Box 918, Moundsville WV 26041.

Fundraisers include the "Beast of a Sale" Yard Sale in the Spring, Christmas Pet Pictures at Prestige Photography in Wheeling, WV, in November, the Webark 5K Run & Walk, organized by the Ohio Valley Runners & Walkers Club, and the annual Spaghetti Dinner & Auction. We have an additional yard sale in late summer or fall. We collect items year-round for the Auction and yard sales; please call if you are "spring cleaning" and pickup can be arranged.
We use Patented Kuranda Dog Beds because they are durable, chew proof and easy to clean. We can always use more beds, because the cats like them too!
The I.R.S. has determined that Webark Estates, Inc. is a 501c3 Organization, and donations are deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Adopting a friend
Our fees are as follows: $50.00.
Adoption fees may be waived to a good home willing to adopt a "special needs" animal. Before entering our facility, every animal is vet checked, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, & treated, as needed. Cats are feline leukemia tested, and dogs are tested for heartworm.

We do offer a trial period-try a pet for a few days & see how the family or other pets adjust!
