Our Mission

  • to provide a safe, loving and forever home for all elderly or sick ferrets who make LDFR their last stop.

  • to provide a service for other animal shelters who either don't have the knowledge or the appropriate facility to care for stray or surrendered ferrets.

  • to provide a resource for families who are no longer able to care for their ferret.

  • to educate the public about ferret myths and other ferret concerns through outreach programs.

  • to guide families in their search for the right pet for their family.

    • We are a resource for all ferrets regardless of the age, health or temperament and they are never euthanized (except for humane reasons)
