Bryan:

Very handsome black & tan boy who is crate and housetrained, great personality and wants another pooch in his home! He has been with another weiner dawg his whole life - wonderful family pal!

Tracey:
(Age: 2 yrs, Weight: 18lb, Sex: female, Breed: ruff coat terrier)

Long legged stray gal who was rescued by some dog-lovin' folks who brought her to B&B when she wasn't claimed. Very friendly; she gets on well with everybody - people and dogs. Chases the kitties. Real sweet personality!

Volunteer Appreciation and Work Day

Be sure to join us on Friday, November 28th (the day after thanksgiving) from 10am-4pm for homemade tamales and dog walking. A perfect combination! The shelter will also be open that day from 10am-4pm for regular adoptions. Come on by!

* DOG WALKING!
EVERY MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 7am - 7pm

We always need volunteer dog walkers!!!
If you have not yet volunteered, fill out your paperwork now and let's get you walkin'! We'll put some great groups together if folks want to go to Eaton Canyon, Whittier Narrows Nature Walk or other fun places. (Click here to download the volunteer paperwork) and contact us to get started!

Our Wishlist!

We're hoping some of our friends will come through with these much needed gifts:

New Stuff We Need!:
- Washers and gas dryers: We like to keep an extra of each on hand but now we're down by one each, so with cooler and rainy weather coming, we'll need 'em more than ever!
- Many "T" poles
- 5-6' wire fencing
- Building materials: 2x4s, 4x4s, plywood sheets
- Home Depot & Lowe's gift cards

More "wishes" we could still really use!:
- Photographer: We need a volunteer who can take good pictures of our dogs once a week for about an hour. We need you to use a digital camera and be able to email the photos to us so that we can add them our website.
- Special people to give permanent, foster and sponsored homes to our Special pooches
- Towels (used, all sizes & lots of 'em please!)
- Sturdy dog toys
- Kong balls
- Used bedroom pillows and cases
- Used comforters we can cut into doggie blankets
- Vari-kennels (all sizes)
- 6x6x6 chain link runs - (need about 4)
- Spare change to buy all these things and much more!
- Volunteers:
(we always need you!)

P.S. Most of all, each and every pooch here would love the gift of a family to call their own! Would you sponsor, foster or adopt?

Important Changes to Ralphs Rewards Card Program

We'd like to thank all of you who have taken the time to sign up for the Ralphs and Food4Less rewards card 'Community Contributions' program.

Last quarter with your help B&B earned $600!
We're aiming to double that (or more) next quarter!

This program is so great because you don't really have to do anything other than your regular shopping... there are no extra costs involved!

Please note that Ralphs has changed how the sign-up process for this program works. Even if you've already joined the program we're going to need to ask you to please make some minor adjustments to your account so that your contributions will continue to be counted on behalf of B&B. We need to make sure that everyone is signed up properly so that every purchase will continue to be counted. Unfortunately we are no longer able to handle the sign-ups for you on our side, Ralphs needs you to visit their website and do it on your own. Even if you're already signed, Ralphs requires you to update annually. All of us at B&B are sure grateful you have chosen us, and will see that your gifts are put to good use for the dogs.

For instructions on how to update your Ralphs reward card account, or to sign-up for this program and help earn passive donations for B&B at not cost to you everytime you shop at Ralphs or Food4Less, please click here to continue reading...

Microchipping Comes to B&B!

B&B is now able to microchip your dogs with AVID chips! We can do this any open house day/time. The cost is $35. If you have adopted a dog from us recently that is not chipped, there is no charge! Avid Microchips have been used to safely return lost dogs and get them home safely!

Announcing the "Special Friends Volunteer Program"

Some of our dogs are looking for Special Friends – friends who will help them get adopted!

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to work one-on-one with a dog who could use a little "coaching" to help them get adopted. If you are interested, you must have come to B&B as a regular volunteer at least 3 times before you can join this program.

B&B is a no-kill shelter. That means that sometimes a dog can be at B&B for years before the right person comes along to adopt it. The Special Friends program is all about helping these dogs find that special person a little sooner. To learn more about becoming a Special Friend to a dog in need click here...
