Founded in 1990 to help with the placement and care
of unwanted and abused Persian cats
Most of our cats come from Northern California Animal Shelters. Some Rescue cats come from veterinarians. The Shelters or vets call us if a cat is in need of rescuing. We rarely take cats from individuals. There are too many shelter cats needing our help. We do have a document on our "Frequent Questions" page that tells how to go about trying to find a home for your cat.
Before any cat leaves our care, they are:
- Spayed or neutered
- Vaccinated for FVRCP
- Leukemia tested
- Bathed and groomed
- Evaluated for personality to
assure a good match with his or her new family |
We support our Rescue operation through:
- Adoption fees
- Donations
- Fund-raisers
|
We are a Non-Profit 501-[c]3 Corporation
In the early '90's, our adoption rate was 25 cats per year.
We now adopt and place more than 250 cats each year.
Please visit the rest of our site to see the Persian & Himalayan cats we currently have available for adoption. Click on "Cats for Adoption" under AVAILABLE CATS on the bar on the left side of this page.
You can also print our adoption application to fill out and bring with you when you visit the Rescue.
If you are interested in contributing to our cause in any way, or if you need additional information, please contact us Click Here to Donate via the Just Give website.
We can't save every Persian & Himalayan in the world, but for each one that you help us save it IS the world for that kitty! There is a list of very easy, simple things you could do to help on our 'What We Need' page. Any of them will make a much bigger difference that you can imagine!
